Prep Time:15 minutes

Cook Time:20 minutes

Complete Time:35 minutes

Servings:12

Ingredients

  1. Apple Fritter Rings
  2. 1 tsp baking powder
  3. 1 tsp white sugar (be sure it's vegan!)
  4. 1/3 cup fermented milk (I used unsweetened rice )
  5. frying oil
  6. 1 tbsp white almond butter (created with blanched almonds)
  7. 1 tsp maple syrup
  8. 1 1/2 tsp water

Directions

  1. Peel the apple and take out the heart. Cut the apple in roughly 12 rings.
  2. Insert water and the milk and whisk. Should you dip an apple slice into the batter, the batter and the apple must stick together but it should not be too thick. If it is too thick, add more water. If it is too runny, add more flour.
  3. Heat the skillet in a kettle (only enough so the apple rings may float in the petroleum ). Fry every apple ring dipped in the batter for approximately 3-4 minutes - till crispy and golden. Reduce the heat a little, Should they brown too fast your oil is hot.
  4. Transfer them into a paper towel.
  5. For your Almond Maple Dipping Sauce, whisk of the components together.
  6. Sprinkle the Vegan Apple Fritter Rings and serve together with the Almond Maple Dipping Sauce!
Notes

You may cut the apple slices then cut out the center using a knife, but eliminating the center with an apple corer is safer and quicker!
