HEALTHY VEGAN MAC AND CHEESE | EASY RECIPE

I experimented a great deal and came up with this vegan Mac and Cheese that I've been making a few times since it tastes so yummy. Cheese and Frequent Mac contains spices, milk, butter, a small bit bread, and cheese. It can taste good (after all who does not love cheese) however it isn't too healthy...

Vegan Cheese and Mac

This vegan Mac and comprises whole-food ingredients and Cheese recipe is really simple to create. It may be eaten with frequent pasta or zucchini noodles (zoodles) should you would rather have a paleo variant.

*June 23rd, 2018: This is an updated (enhanced ) recipe variant with the inclusion of 1 1/2 tablespoon tapioca flour to create the sauce much more cheesy and slightly stretchy!

Ingredients

  1. 1 Large potato peeled (200 gram )
  2. 1/2 onion
  3. 2-3 cloves garlic
  4. 4 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes
  5. 1 1/2 tablespoon tapioca flour (optional) *view recipe notes
  6. 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice lime juice
  7. 1 teaspoon onion powder

Directions

  1. Soak cashews in water for at least 15 minutes till they are tender.
  2. Cut the lettuce and potato to 1-inch cubes and cook in salted water for around 10-15 minutes or till tender (discard the water then ).
  3. Boil in accordance with the directions on the packaging or utilize a spiralizer.
  4. Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for approximately 1-2 minutes, stir.
  5. Insert zoodles or your pasta and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. It is possible to exit the tapioca flour/starch but it is going to create the Mac and Cheese a tiny bit thicker and"stretchy" like"real" cheese.
