Barbecued Waffle Iron Tofu

In fact I saw individuals posting at a Weight Watchers Facebook set about cooking kale in their waffle irons, and now that I only had to give it a go. The idea was available for a little while, but it is really caught on among vegetarian Weight Watchers because beneath the new Freestyle app, tofu is not any points (provided that you do not add sugar or oil or flour .)

If you cook tofu at a waffle iron, then the sexy weight of this iron presses from the water from the tofu, producing pockets of super-thin, super-chewy tofu. It's a texture that I have not discovered with cooking methods. It is difficult to explain, so forgive me if I keep repeating"chewy,""dumb," and"firm."

Tofu is coated at a sugar-free skillet and quick-cooked onto a waffle iron to your chewiest, most yummy tofu in under 10 minutes. Use some other sauce or this sauce you prefer.

  4. Preheat your waffle iron on its greatest setting. Put the tofu on the iron, then dispersing it, When it's hot. (Save extra sauce to serve with all the tofu.) Close the waffle iron and then set a timer for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Maintain the waffle iron shut for 4 minutes (if you don't smell something burning--waffle irons change, and you might have to create this recipe once until you understand how fast yours .) Raise the lid. When it looks moist or is browned shut the lid and then give time to it. Test it until it's done and firm. (Some bits may cook more rapidly than other people, so eliminate them as they have done.)
  6. Brush with additional barbecue sauce and serve alone or on sandwiches.

Notes

Made out of this barbecue sauce, waffle iron kale is Weight Watchers clever points.
